I learned to row at Washingto-Lee HS in '69. I then rowed four years at Rollins College. While there we competed at the Royal Henley in '73. We also managed a second place finish at the Dad Vail Regatta in '72.
Fast forward to 2003 and our Henley crew reconvened and participated in the Henley Veterans that year. This coincided with my joining ARC for water time to get back into rowing shape. I've been a member ever since. I've participated in several Masters Nationals with some composite crews during this time medaling in a range of events. I've also been to the Head of the Charles three times and won the Head of the Hooch once.
I'm happy to be among the "Band of Brothers" competing for this worthy cause. My dad was a Navy WWII vet so I'm proud to lend my support.
