Pat Sloan
“Sloaner”
I entered USNA from Gladwin, MI. After miraculously graduating in 1975, I donned ensign insignia, married my hometown sweetheart, Debbie and headed to San Diego for SWO school. Though shoe world reminded me of Wally World (without the fun rides) the 3-year tour aboard USS Sacramento did include the all-time highlight of adding Scott & Kelly to our family. In 1980, I transitioned to the civilian world and in 2008 started Sloan Technical Services where we found a slice of paradise on a quiet lake in Indiana. Quasi-retirement was complicated by my unfortunate decision on August 15, 2022 to ignore Debbie's instruction not to play in traffic on my bicycle in the rain. But thanks to a lift on Robert Duvall's Huey and the efforts of the world's greatest rehab nurse/everything else my body and spirit are ready for Goats Row 2027.
