Rob Douglas

Rob Douglas brings nearly two decades of leadership experience across the life sciences, cell therapy, and genomic medicine industries. Throughout his career, he has held commercial and account management leadership roles with organizations including Cytiva, GE Healthcare Life Sciences, Fortis Life Sciences, and Savillex, helping bridge the gap between scientific innovation, manufacturing advancement, and patient access. At Cytiva, Robert led global commercial operations supporting cell therapy and genomic medicine customers, developing a deep appreciation for the challenges and opportunities involved in bringing transformative therapies to patients.

Rob's relationship with the Emily Whitehead Foundation began in 2017 through his work in the cell therapy industry, where he partnered with EWF leaders, such as Tom Whitehead and Nicole Gularte, to advance awareness, advocacy, and education around cell and gene therapies. Inspired by the Foundation's mission and the impact of its work, he joined as a volunteer in 2021, supporting the Believe Ball fundraising initiatives. Since then, he has served in increasing leadership capacities, including as Development Committee Lead and in December 2024, as a member of the Board of Directors.

Rob is also part of the Emily Whitehead Foundation’s Hope In Motion team. Rob ran and fundraised for major running races such as TCS New York City Marathon (November 2025) and Philadelphia Half Marathon (November 2026)
